An IP Change As Your Kids Surf

With the quality of innocent curiosity that all children have, an IP change might be necessary for your computers at home. It is important that we monitor the children’s activities when they are using the Internet. The children may not yet be able to recognize a bad site from a good one, and might stumble into pages that are not meant for their innocent dispositions.

We have already heard of online predators and Internet pornography. We, as adults, may have already gotten used to the amount of these kinds of sites in the Internet. But our children are not, and it is our job to watch over them and keep them from getting influenced by these dangers. We never know when an online user here and there might strike up a conversation with our child in the chat room and ask personal questions.

True, there are a lot of filter programs now, and parents are able to block websites from their children’s grasp. But we never know when a malicious hacker might get through, and it is with this assumption that we find hiding and changing our IP address necessary. Your children may think it’s nothing to chat with a stranger online, but as parents we need to make sure that the whole family is safe no matter what.

We also need to educate and teach our kids about the dangers of the Internet. It is not enough that we block some websites and discourage them from speaking to strangers online. But just to be on the safe side, we should make an IP change for more protection.
